I enjoyed spending time trying to sell pictures to shop owners. I was however, on unfamiliar ground , out of my comfort zone etc. I’m no salesman, and cold calling made me uncomfortable – knowing my own feelings on the matter. But I figured, I was there in person and there would be no hard-sell. I would stop or leave the moment I was asked. I was also treated with respect and in a lot of cases good humour. This made it more enjoyable whatever the outcome
I found my teaching experience useful as well, delivering structured information clearly and simply and in this case, usually quickly.
